Please call me Kylie. The name Kylie is a nickname given to me by my friend when I lived in the United States. My friend Kyle and Kayo(me) are pronounced similarly, so when my friend call us names, we both turn to her, so I got the nickname. In my 20's I was a musician and I played the shows in Japan, the United States and Europe, and lived in Southern California for about 5 years in my early 30's. In my late 30's I returned to Japan and started working in childcare, which was one of my dreams when I was little, and I find my life worth living in a job surrounded by children, whom I love. I am always trying to do my best for the children, but there are many things I learn from them, and I am always amazed by their infinite power. At Dream Kids House, I am determined to make the most of my love of music, my experience living in California, and my past experience in childcare, and to work together with the staff to create an irreplaceable school filled with smiles so that children can enjoy their days through a variety of experiences. G’Day! I am a TESOL-qualified professional from Christchurch, New Zealand. I have been working as an English teacher/instructor in Japan since 2012, coaching kids and adults in a group setting and individually. I started working at the Dream Kids House last year and so far, I find the job fun and rewarding, but a tad challenging. Besides, I always treat my students, especially the younger ones, as if they were my family. In my opinion, this is the most sensible way to establish a meaningful relationship and create complete trust. So, children can learn naturally and easily, just as they do at home.

Hello there! Working with the children is a real big blessing. Although it is quite challenging at times, it is also very fun and always rewarding. To comfort a child that is sad, to teach a child brand new activities or aspects of the world, to laugh with them, to play and read to them stories and so much more. These situations are deeply meaningful and really important. Working with children in English as a second language is also sometimes difficult, yet witnessing their vocabulary and phrases expand over time is what it is all about. I love teaching children, and I love learning from them as well.

In New Zealand I worked as an engineer for three years, so I have experience communicating as an English native speaker in a variety of educational and work settings. I enjoy getting to know each child at Dream Kids House and introducing them to English!
